The lawn is not just an area of mowed and cultivated grass and plants, it comes to show us that we have a piece of the Nature near our home and we should keep it beautiful. Unfortunately, many people think that they should care about their lawns only during the spring, summer, and the autumn. It’s true that in these months, the work there is more, but there are some simple things that you can do for your lawn in the winter as well. Here are simple tips that could help you to protect your lawn and even to make it more beautiful during the winter:

Do not stop to clear away all of the leaves that you are able to find in your lawn, because if there are too many leaves over the lawn, it will reduce the evaporation. The result could be increased humidity of the ground, and increase diseasing of the glass and the plants.

All of the tools should be kept clean which will help you to use them for a longer period of time. Do not underestimate the importance of every tool, even the garden cart should be kept clean.

The fallen leaves could be cleared away easy if you just rake or brush them up and then removing the layer of leave.

Regularly check out if there are new growths, use your mower in winter mode and mow the grass in the lawn. Avoid the mowing when the weather is frosty or wet, because the wet grass may clog your mower.

Also, the winter is the season when we don’t have so much work at the lawn. You can use this time to plan do you need additional tools and accessories for your lawn. For example, if you have a huge lawn you can make your work there much easier if you buy a garden tractor. For medium sized lawns, you can use mini tractors.
